Hey guys,

I'm about to get my suspension back to together and will be going to my local garage who probably have never done the tracking on kit car so will need to tell them some numbers.
I still don't know whether I've got Haynes roadster or Locost but is there some general info they should set it up at?

Regards,
Andrew

Andrew Camber Dave is our expert in the club. I am sure he can help. If he doesn't  pick up on this I will talk to him tomorrow as I will be working with him.

Hi Andrew

Tracking 10' (1.6mm) +/- 5'  total Toe in at front
and 0 to 10' at each rear wheel. set them both equal.

Front Camber for road 0.5 to 1.5 deg for road 2 to 4 for track
Rear Camber Half of what you use for the front ie 0 to 0.75 deg etc.

Castor 3 to 5 deg Front - zero at rear

Corner-weights Set the ride height so that the lower arms are 10mm higher at the chassis than the hubs.
Make sure the springs are the same height on the adjustment perches at the front.
Wind the R R (drivers corner) perch 10mm higher and that will set the cornerweights 80% right.
If this is too low - wind up each axle pair of springs together.
You can do this at home before you go to the garage.

Thanks very much for this Dave.

Not sure how competent they are going to be, but the plan was to get at least somewhere there until I reach you Dave for the final tune up in Spring as I'm not local.

Andrew,

If you are not sure, Dave is you man - everybody is utterly impressed when Dave does their set-up.

Regards
Ian
