I want to go, but need a seat??  Santa can I ride shotgun in the GT.  Failing that it will be the weekly car.

Been playing in the garage this morning, and came up with this as a frame for the baner to take  to any shows we attend as a club.

'The Gaffer'

Good point. I hope Bri will come in with a meet / route cos hes good at that :)

Bulldog Bri

Workin on it guys.

I'm thinking One main meeting place and 1 or 2 stops to pick up on the way.

Or one route for the trailer boys and another for the blaters

Do you think we might need a fuel stop?  I haven't tested the range on my car yet?

Agreed, I'm not sure about mine either. Will deffo have a spare can with me.

Bulldog Bri

As I'll be bringing the tin top and traliering my car down, if anyone wants me to carry spare fuel cans or anything else let me know.

8)

Bulldog Bri

I've delayed the stripping of the Bulldog until after the Exeter show, as I need back up for work and the tintop has 2 weekends of towing (that I've never done before) with it.  ???

So you will be driving it down weather permitting?

Bulldog Bri

No! still planning to take the 7 down via trailer, the Bulldog could be back-up just in case of the untoward :o plus it's not taxed at the mo'

'The Gaffer'

Do we have a final meet plan Bri?

Bulldog Bri

Here's what I'm thinking as a way for us all to meet up and run down.
Weather permitting
Saturday 21st November
2 meeting places. first will be the Portishead junction of the M5, the second is the Weston S Mare junction.

Portishead

Weston

For those meeting at the first place please aim to be there BY 8:30am
For those meeting at the Second place, please be there by 8:50am

As the first group travel down, when we are a mile away from the Weston junction (21) I will give one of you who, should be there, (someone volunteer) a call and you can join in for the run down.  ;D

Aiming to get to Exeter by about 10 - 10:15.
If those who aren't towing want to get down quicker to nab an area, once we've all met up, then that will be the time to get going.  ;D

I will be there at The weston Junction. Call me  at the time. ;D

I think the plan for most will be a one day trip on the Saturday. Now, if you had a heated Winnebago motor home with a spare bed, then line em up on the bar mate ;D

You must let me supply a link to you from the site Nick. You would be surprised at the traffic that comes through here. Will have a chat with you about my car on your stand. Phil.

If the suggested layby is full then there is another layby on the other side of the road a few hundred yards further back.

Anybody else coming along?

Bulldog Bri

A trailer has been dropped off for me to use tomorrow and I've found an old ground sheet for my tent that I can cover the car with. So I'me still gonna make an effort to go down and fly the flag for the club. I know the weather is looking pretty s..t for the day but I'm holding out for a few clear spots.  :D

If you've decided to opt out of the run down or tin topping could you let me know via the names list (or a PM)

Cheers   8)

Hairy Santa

I spoke to phil last night and he mentions that there possibly could be a run down on Sunday to Exeter by a few member's due to weather and other commitments

Does anyone know any thing regards this

I'm asking as I have been working towards taking my car down, have cut the holes in rear screen to allow for vents and now find I cant complete them in time ( still all going wrong)  all the paint has now reacted - not a happy bunny

'The Gaffer'

Sorry your work isnt going as planned Pete :(.

As for the show, the weather forecast looks pretty terrible for Saturday and Sunday too so I might as well say its gonna be a no from me as far as driving the Toniq down.

That said, I may well tin top it Saturday or more likely Sunday.

My suggestion sadly is to make it a free for all now unless those with wet weather gear still stick to the original plan.

Hope to catch up with a few of you at the show regardless.

Bulldog Bri

Judging by resonses and to the weather due for the weekend, I think that we call off the convoy run down to the show  :(  and that we just make our own way down. So DON'T worry about any meeting points.

I hope to see some of you down there...

Hairy Santa

Worked till 3am to get car servicable to run, hope to see you all down there
