Hi all, cameron and i were made very welcome last club night. Thankyou.
Cant wait to get the westfield out on long journeys. Bought it a fortnight ago, although a tin head i wasnt going to build one but just love tnlering and boy does this car need some tinkering. Its a 1700 xflow, was used for WSCC speed trials so has an ultra close box, no good for any distance!  Blue and orange, i think will be a bit different. Changing the crankshaft oil seal this week uurgh. The 40's are running wrong as they are built for acceleration only, any feathering and they spit. Need a good balance.
Any way hope to see everyone on the 20th at castle combe when we will get the car down, although its gonna be slow, top end is about 95!!! See you all soon. BB

After 2 years sat in a garage there are a few too thing problems. Namely a problem with engine oil coming out of the bell housing, probably crankshaft all seal, we will wee this week, thank goodness castle ombré is the following week.
So I,ve armed myself with lots of gaskets, any that will be needed at all.
We also had battery problems, but after finding out the slim racing battery was 9 years old I am rather impressed with absorbed mat gel technology, no other battery I,ve ever had would take that punishment....... Ugh ooh perhaps that's another thread... How old is your battery. Lol

Moleman

My battery is a lawn mower battery & it does ok for my westy.  8)

And if you have a look at Moleman's icon you can see him cutting the grass!  :P

Brandy Barrel

You haven't seen the size of my lawnmower.... Its needs a generator to start it let alone a battery
