Spent some time with my boy today and came up with this.

I totally agree with you on that one Gaffer. Tbh I cannot understand why Lego has taken off and Meccano died a death, it was far better and you could do so much more with it. It has been the start point for many an engineer for sure!

Agreed,

If you flexed a joint you could remove the tip of a finger and if you held the spanner right you could always draw blood.  That's proper engineering isn't it - I've never done that with Lego.  Even when you drop a brick on your toe it doesn't feel like building either!  :P :P :P

A very nice attempt at an Ariel Atom no doubt?

Meccano looks great but like everything for kids these days it's a lot easier to put together than in my day. Half the work is done for you! That's progress I guess.

Haven't they got an app' for Lego? Wouldn't want the lit'luns wearing themselves out ;D ;D

In 100 years time children will have thumbs on average an inch longer and wider then today due to all the electronic devices they use for sending messages!!!!! True story  :o
