I have made a new windscreen frame for Ratbag, and was looking at ways to connect the upperframe to the bottom frame after the glass goes in. After cutting and shaping the ends of the lower frame, I wanted to weld/solder them and shape them to fit into the upper frame. So I bought some Alubuild 300
rods. Thought it was worth a try, £6 for 4 x 9" rods. They came today and I gave it a go. I was amazed at how well they work. I did both sides with less than 1 rod. Very many uses for this stuff, repairing ally casings, stripped threads. Can do carburettor bodies, manifolds ect, all with a blowlamp.

Yep, I can recommend it too.

I have seen it at shows and it is miraculous.  the hardest in the world to weld but this soldering is a dodle!
