I did it years ago in a certain rugby club car park (which I will not name cos I value my knees) in a Mk3 2000E Cortina.

It caught fire and burned to a shell. Oops.

Me and my brother used to autotest a Mini Special back in the 90s.  Great fun - one event used Bognor Regis sea front (which was closed to traffic for the day).  Longleat was another favourite venue (not in the Lion Enclosure).
