Title: seat harneses
Post by: paintman on 27, October, 2010, 10:48:10 PM
Does anyone know if its ok to fit 3-point harness to a high-back seat with no harness slits?

I've been offered some but a bit worried about it.  Theyre very narrow and would fit the car great,  they have the head rest built in with shoulder wings but no holes for the belts.

Is it ok to put the belt over the top of the seat and trail it over the wing then down to your waist?

I fitted harnesses over my old seats in the Toniq with no slits. As long as the mounts are behind the seats so the harnesses come over the shoulders I dont see a problem.

The harness mounts have to be reasonably close together so they are between the shoulders and not outside that width.
