Title: Historic tax
Post by: Cyclone4 on 08, April, 2011, 04:27:07 PM
My registration is an old Y reg 82-83 but my log book is 97 registered, where does the buck stop with tax exemption as it was proved during re-register in 97 not to go q plate? please advise from someone who has maybe got the same scenario?

I didnt think anything was tax exempt unless it was constructed before 1 January 1973 (historic vehicles) There was a similar topic on Pistonheads http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=30&t=717486&nmt=Tax%20exempt:%20date%20of%20first%20reg.%20or%20year%20of%20manufacture (http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=30&t=717486&nmt=Tax%20exempt:%20date%20of%20first%20reg.%20or%20year%20of%20manufacture) that seems to suggest the manufacture date is taken into account rather than the registration date.
