Title: change with M.O.Ts
Post by: Denzle on 11, April, 2011, 11:32:22 PM
Breaking News tonight.

The government is planning to change the MOT rules.

Instead of each year, a car under 10 years old will have an MOT test every two years, not every year.

With a new car it will be after the first four years, not three.

Any car over 10 years old will have the normal yearly MOT.... ;)...... ;)

I think I have it all correct.... ;D     Denzle

That should save some hassle - Not sure the MOT stations will be so happy though.

You'll probably find the IVA fee will rise to cover the lost revenue from MOTs every 2 years! Best hurry up and get mine done then :)

Autoexpress magazine mentioned about this and there was a big debate wether it will increase the amount of unroadworthy cars as people tend to struggle to keep them roadworthy with an mot yearlyand with the lack of police on the road to spot unroadworthy cars
