Jsut picked up my toniq and it needs a new clutch. Its still got the stock Fireblade 919 clutch in there so Im not suprised it doesnt work properly.
Which one do I need?
Hey thats great news about having the car, shame about the clutch.
Barnett cluthes seem to be the choice of the pros.
Have a word with AB performance about anything engine related

Will you be coming to the meet tonight in the new car?
I would like to but its a bit early as I have to get the kids in bed by 7 and then its 1/2 hr over to ther for me. What time will you be around for?
We will be there for a couple of hours maybe.
It would be great to see the car again.

Just took it out and the clutch isnt going to last much longer. But should make it over.
Great, see you there.
Have a word with AB performance on Monday about that cluctch. Pretty easy to change I think.
I've heard many times that the best clutch for a blade bec is the standard clutch plates with uprated springs. Can't comment personally though as I've only used the one in my Indy which works well but I don't even know what it is...
To be honest, I think mine only has Barnet uprated springs, but couldent be sure. Never had a problem with it.
I dont know the history, and I tend to abuse the clutch rather that the resto fo the drive train as its cheap to replace, So ill speak to AB and see what they say.

As per THIS POST (http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=111938) on locost builders, a few people have mentioned that blades can get clutch slip when run on fully synth oil.
maybe an oil change may do you some good?

All in good time :) - With that torque at least I wont feel the passenger so much! lol
no but you would need a good surgeon to reattach your cheeks after every drive though!
