Title: Sue Ryder Charity event Castle Combe 17 Mar 12
Post by: Grin-a-lot on 08, January, 2012, 10:17:19 PM
Anyone seen this:

I know nothing about it but seen it advertised and once I've got my car on the road at the end of the month I might go along, looks like it could be fun and a good cause.

This is a copy in March rather than October of the Stroke Association Day which I have been involved with for many years.  For the £160 you are required to take a fee paying passengers of their choice if one wants to ride in your car.  Otherwise you get to drive on your own for 15mins in every hour.  The Stroke Association Day is free to the drivers but the organisers do chose which cars & drivers they want on track to have visual appeal and give the passengers a thrilling but sensible ride.

I believe that this was by invitation only, certainly all who normally do the Stroke Day were invited.  I declined as my car will not be ready by then but also have mixed feelings in them copying an established event which I am a part of.  If you feel its for you and it's an open invitation feel free to apply.
