Title: What has happened to Keevil ??
Post by: madmarkymark on 11, January, 2012, 09:57:42 AM
In my search for track days - I have not been able to find anything at Keevil for 2012.  Does anyone know why that is ... not yet planned or something more fundamental.  :o

Cheers,

Madmarkymark

There is no need to write off Keevil just yet.  I know from dealing with MSE for many years that it takes months to get any decisions from MOD Estates, it will appear on their website but probably not until Mid Feb.

Hopefully Colerne will be available again this year as it is a much better surface than Keevil and much closer to Bristol & Bath.

Yes Colerne would be good.

By the way fullpint - the Combe trackday at the end of Mar is only £129 open pit lane and 105dB noise limit - it has my name all over it!

You'll need to be VERY careful noise-wise with a BEC, usually involving an airbox and a very effective exhaust can... and no rattling or vibration at the static test.

Thanks TimC,

Have been through scrutiny at Combe and Keevil last year.  Highest noise level at 75% Max Revs was 96dB.  That is without the extra muffler etc.  It is a well packed and 'clean' exhaust system - thankfully!

The Keevil dates are now on the MSE website for 2012, sadly no Colerne dates again this year.
