Who's up for the Pagent of Transport at Weston on the sea front Lawns?
Over 1000 vehicles expected.....just turn up and park before 11am, free entry.
30th & 31st March.
I'm going down on the Sunday probably.
Tony
Edit: Added to calendar.
Went last year and I expect we will pop along this year for an hour or so if its nice out.
Lots of good old cars there last time. Worth the effort ;)
Sunday is good for me. :)
I should be able to get out on day release - can see how much of a difference my new gearbox makes!
I take it you're no longer running a dragster 2-speed box then Darren? :D
Sure not, got all gears operational and once I've fitted the extension plate this weekend I'll be able to use them all without destroying my knuckles on my dashboard!
Nice one! :D
Why is the show at the end of March though? I'm not taking the car off SORN until 1 Apr :(

Why don't you order the tax on-line and if your stopped tell them its in the post......oh, is there 31 days in March officer???? ::) lol ;D
Good idea mate, but my luck (or lack of it) is the reason I don't do the lottery :(
Thinking of going if weathers nice although wont be taxing the Dax until April maybe may depending on weather as think prob get more nice days late year rather than early
I'm definitely going on sunday. anyone up for a convoy to weston? Hopefully to get there for 11. :D
Just got this off another site chaps:
"NEWS FLASH - NEWS FLASH - NEWS FLASH
WESTON PARK TRANSPORT SHOW (Sunday/Monday 31st March/1st April)
CANCELLED - Rescheduled for SUNDAY 23RD JUNE
A site meeting took place today, Monday 25th March at Weston Park to consider the ground conditions and viability of the event taking place over the Easter Weekend following the heavy snowfall this weekend. Unfortunately we hafe to announce that as the grounds were totally covered in snow and the long range forecaste for the area is not really showing any improvement to dry out the very wet grounds, the event is to be CANCELLED for the Easter Weekend.
For more information go to www.transtarpromotions.com (http://www.transtarpromotions.com)"
Looks like it's a no-go :(
ok. thanks for letting us know. :(

I will meet you there as I don't want to make a total commitment as my attendance will be weather dependant.
I will probably bring my crap*y little three wheeler.

I will be heading to get there for about 10.30 on sunday. :)
I would like to go, where is the meeting place and what time? Cheers, Dave
anyone fancy meeting at the cafe that is under the flyover at hotwells, it used to be called the Ace cafe
say around 9.15am
put your name on here if this is OK
I will be there at 9.15 mate. see you there. :)
Ok, count me in
Dont forget the clocks go forward tonight.
See you all at the show.
M
Chaps, I'll meet you there at 0915. Not absolutely sure where 'there' is so if all else fails, carry on without me and I'll see you down there.
Paul
if you come down the road on the opposite side of the river to the SS Great Britian towards Hotwells bear left at the end and keep on the left you will cross a small bridge, bear round to the right once over the bridge and the road rapps itself around the cafe, it is actually under the road - cant miss it
Dixie and myself will be there at approximately 10.30-11.00......save us a pitch please. ;) :-*
The road is called Bronswiwick pl. just off Merchants rd. (which is the bridge) next to the Nova Scotia pub. The lockside is still marked on goggle maps.
So see you at 9.15 which is really 8.15 on a sunday morning. :o
We plan on leaving here (Rudloe) around 1030 after ones done the dog.. Hopefully will be a WSM before noon 8)
working another 12 hr shift >:(

Hopefully the start of good weather & things to come. ;D
I think everyone enjoyed themselves
and the weather, what can I say, fantastic , roll on the summer
Had a good day out, enjoyed it loads. Ratbag behaved itself well enough too! Scruffyest car there but that will change though. Got back to Warmley to find I had lost my house keys, so I dapped back to Weston and asked at the cafe, just in case they were handed in. No luck though. Everyone had left by then apart from a dead Triumph Herald waiting for the AA to turn up. I heard that there is a similar event happening in Cheltenham (St josephs school?). Anyone have any info on that?
There's a guy on pistonheads who found a set of keys on the ring road at 0930 today - he reckons they fell from a caterham type car.
I've dropped him a line to say i might know who they belong to, but get in touch and we'll see if we can reunite you with them!
Yeeeaah! Result! Collected my lost keys from some nice people in Kingswood. I never thought I would see them again.
Pat and John saw them fall off the back of ratbag and stopped to pick them up. Their son, Marcus figured that the owner must be in a kit car club and posted on pistonheads, which was spotted by the eagle eyes of grin-a-lot who then contacted me. A few texts later and now I have my keys back. So now I owe grin-a-lot not only custard doughnuts, but a blue peter badge and a pair of val's old knickers!
Just shows what common sense and a little co-ordination can do. Big thanks to all involved. Dave
You lucky old bu**er......well done Grin-a-lot, good spot!!! ;) ;)
We better change your forum name to Hawk Eyes!!....lol :D :D
Amazing result.........
