Unofficial but been up the hills untimed, pretty scary stuff tbh... Shelsley Walsh is one for the granite balled ones, single track thin road with 6ft high banking either side
Can you add me to the list as well please.
i'll have a go up the hill, done goodwood a few times, in a 3.5t movano. doesn't matter what you're in, its a scream!
I will have a go at the hillclimb as well please Colin
I may do as well. They are not taking bookings for this yet so I will let you know when they are. :)
put my name down please
I've already asked to be added but my names not on the list.
I'll be doing the hill if the Shelsley is back on the road, got a little issue that I don't know if it's going to turn into a big (read expensive) issue yet.

Unfortunately this is going to have to be another one to take my name off due to the decision to change the engine the car will not be ready in time.
Thanks for letting me know mate. You are still welcome to come in your normal car if you want too? :)
Hi,
Unfortunately I'm unable to come to this, family gathering now planned for that day
Guess there's always next year
OK Dan thanks for letting me know. :)
Gents I have just been on the Prescott Hill Climb web site and there is a vintage sprint this weekend, the 10th is more of a prossesion and display.
I can't do this weekend mate. :(
Well, MOT passed! Woohoo!
But, its running lean in places so will need to correct this before I push the engine and make it go bang ???
Nice one mate. I have mine tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it will fly through though. 8)

OK people this is next Sunday. I would like to know what arrangements you want to do about getting there.
Option 1 = Meet up with everyone there on the day (we do have a B.K.C.C. parking)
Option 2 = Go up in convoy leaving from The Air Balloon at 8.30 am & just head straight up the A38 to Gloucester then over to Prescott Revival. Which will take about 1 1/2 hours.
Option 3 = will not be able to go now.
So will everyone with there name down for this please let me know which one you will be doing as I have to give them numbers for our reserved parking area. :D
I'd be pleased to convoy
Ian
Hope it's not to late but could I put my name on the list as well and I'm hoping to take the car up the hill as well if I haven't left it to long and it's dry.
If you decided on a convoy up the A38 I'll join in when you get to stonehouse
Cheers
Iain
That should be fine Iainl. You can ring them up to book your hill climb to make sure there is spaces left for it though they do say you can book on the day. Depending on spaces of course.
Happy to join convoy. :)
Willing to join convoy from Air Balloon
Yes, convoy for me.
Colin as I am from north Bristol I will wait in the layby on the A38 just after the Aztec roundabout, as I assume you will come all the way up the A38 and not go on the motorway? Steve
Yes mate we will be going up the A38. :)
Will join convoy at air balloon I take it is by snow and rock
Yes it is Steve. ;D

What about the rest?
Hi Colin, Jags still sick :( Will be going up with Steve (sumo)
Hopefully typhoon weather doesn't hit us sunday as forcasted
Doesnt look like I'll be able to make this now. :( the mini is not fueling correctly and running lean on boost so I have to sort this out before I take it on a longish journey let alone a spirited run up a hill.
Its a real bugger cause there is nothing I would rather do than my first hill climb!
Have a good day guys, ill keep my fingers crossed for good weather for you.
Sorry to hear that Alastair. I will do a weather update on Friday To see how bad it may get. ::) :)
Hello all :)
Still up for Sunday although I do have a severe groin strain at the moment (no jokes please, the explanation is mind-numbingly boring) and not meant to do anything strenuous for another 6 weeks, brilliant :(
Anyway, I didn't intend on using the middle pedal much on the hill-climb and I've been looking forward to it as not got on track yet, the only thing that's concerning me is the weather :-\
I don't have a roof like alot of you guys so if it's gonna be as bad as they say the Aeon will be nothing more than a mobile skip by the end of the day :o
I'll keep an eye on the weather, if I go I'll get off the Severn Bridge and meet you guys up on the A38, not sure where though ;)
Cheers, Damian

Yep, no roof here either (or even a windscreen in my case). I'll be keeping an eye on the weather forecast. I'm still holding out hope we'll be OK. Fingers crossed.
wossa roof? :D :D
Ok, I take it all back, we'll have to get a bulk deal on golfing unbrellas ;D
Got one down Ranjani's, about 3 quid!! Mind you works as a sunshade as well, takes up little room and weighs almost nil. :P
I really hope it will be dry as it won't be as good in the rain. ::)
Still hoping to go to this one but if the weathers gonna be wet then it's not gonna be much fun.
8)
Still planning on going - had worse last weekend!
Does anyone know if helmets are required for doing the hill climb?
Also, just checking the time people are planning to arrive as I thought the gates open at 8.30, but only meeting up to leave at that time means arriving at ten?
It says on their site 'no helmets in cars', although I find that hard to believe. It might be a 'typo'
I thought all motorsport uses helmets, I would take one just in case.
The gates are open at 8.30, but the track opens at 10.
Still planning on going and might book a run if there is any spaces once I get there hopefully the hurricane doesn't kill this event.
Looking at the weather which is coming and taking into account I have no wet weather gear I won't be joining the convoy, unless the weather men have it wrong and I wake up to blue sky!
I was really looking forward to taking the car up the hill :(

Me too :-(
Yep, not going either :(. Gonna have to make do with roast beef and yorkshire pud today. :P
Not sure if anyone else is going today, I'm gonna leave it until as late as I can and if I go it will be straight there instead of joining the convoy (if there is one now) :(
Apparently the forecast for Prescott is that it will clear up by 10am, so it should be a case of getting wet on the way up only ::)
I figure I can outrun the rain anyway ;)
In the end there was quite a good turn-out dispite the atrocious weather. In fact I would say the weather added something - water. :D Nothing stopped a few really hardy drivers and one EVO was acting like a taxi for thrill seekers. Best sounding car was a TVR but it had about 20 close rivals in the Marcos'. The Marcos club was celebrating on the day and performed a parade charge up the hill - will have some good photos there.
I travelled with Crash Test Dummy this time. Between us we got a lot of really good video and photos but please be patient on thise - they wil be a couple of weeks to post.
We did the hill when it stopped hammering down. After what seemed like 30 seconds of wheelspin at the start we roared up the hill. It is harder than it looks but as soon as you have done it you want to do it again.
Also without realising Bluehornetrider was there, we spotted him going for it on the hill - nice music. Managed to meet him later. Saw that Smudge made it but didn't manage to meet-up. Hope you had a good experience Smudge!
Hi Ian, I only arrived at 2pm because of the weather and it was a bit of a rush getting sorted, I did manage to find one other BKCC member but didn't see you, sorry, you could have had a go in Bumble! Not that we were very fast due to the weather and sporting semi slicks. Any way, I had a blast, that's the first time I've taken him anywhere other than a normal road and the first time I've done anything like it, can't wait till next year :)
Glad some of you guys made it. I know Sumov8 was heading up there as he txt me while I met Iancider & crach test at the convoy meeting place. I didn't go though.
The weather always seems to put a damper on all our popular event's this year. ??? ::)
Got up briefly this morning looked out the window and decided it was a no go today :-( was looking forward to this one as never been but the thought of sitting in the car with the rain coming down most of the day just didn't appeal as much as a day in the garage ;D
8)
I would like to have made this but have been getting soaked too much lately. Glad it worked out for some though 8)
Good day at Prescott, hurricane bertha had no chance. Always wanted to drive the hill at Gothrington. A bit tricky in the damp but had good fun. only told off once for going to fast >:(Met another member in the Aeon GT. Had a good few runs paid for by passengers :) :) cant wait for next year
A couple of videos of the day:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWJVDVynC54
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRdcpz1ACOc
Aah so, you don't have to wear helmets then. :o
That suprises me.
Took one along just in case and was told not allowed to wear as it was a fun day, not competitive
As I said, seems strange to disallow helmets.
Perhaps it's ok to break your head if your having fun!! :-X ;D
I must admit I didn't think it would be a problem for anyone without a roof!!
That track looked well damp. I think I would have wrapped myself round a tree ;D
It did look damp. Nice video's mate. 8)
We made the convoy of two in and out of rain showers, had a walk up the hill, and once the track was open to transit vans ferrying passengers up the hill we called it a day and headed back home whilst we could drop the roof and get a bit of speed up, that way the rain went over the screen and we kept reasonably dry.
Well that was Summer 8)

I got well soaked, and that was in the car ;D
Oh yes, it was very damp, it seemed to be drying up and then hammered it down again just before my first run at 2.15.
I struggled to get any power down and traction, how I managed to control my wobble I have no idea, I guess someone must have been looking over me, good job really as one of the passengers was the organiser's daughter!!
Cheers Colin, this was the first time I used the camera, very pleased with the result but may adjust the height up a bit next time :)
Very glad I made the effort in the end, I'd been up since 6am getting more and more depressed with the wet stuff >:(
I very often get a soaking just by taking Rex out over the woods every morning, but at least it is only for
an hour or so. I can then get warm and dry and not have to stand around in wet clothes all day. Rain driving like night driving can be fun, but gotta have a roof!
Was there anything else to do up there? Traders stalls, autojumble?
This wet stuff is getting to me too Smudge. ::) :)
Hats of to you guys that went there without a roof. 8)

Hehehe. Yes strange! :P
The weather is what makes it for me. If its pouring down, its miserable. Im a whimp like that! :P
It was good to go even in the monsoon. I took the 928 up the hill but the porsche kicks in its power just as I need to brake for the corners, bit to tight and niggly for my car the auto box didn't help either. Also went up as a passenger in my freinds 944 turbo with a Manual. Although it was better the gearing was also a bit out.
The drive back together was quite spirited as it was still damp. But good fun.
