I now have a roof and dont care it's chucking it down!
I'll be there.
I have a roof too but it's a matter of getting round to fitting it properly. Should be there if it dry'ish !! 8) 8)
Oh, why does it have to be a breakfast meet? I think they should do a lunchtime one too ;D
Yes I fancy a coffee down the square, Cob still in the garage due to other work loads, but a chat is still in order for the morning ;)

SUNSHINE is forecast -
so how about a BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT! BIG TURNOUT!
No excuses and TOPLESS IS PREFERRED!
Cars without a roof are also acceptable! ;D
I am up for it, so is Tony Searle.
I now need to see if I can get Paintman out of bed.
M
If its going to be sunshine then I reckon it calls for an early arrival time if you want to park up :D
Hi, I will see how things go as I am out for a birthday party tonight. Took the Cob for a shake down run today, after about 15 min, it died on me and could not get going again, eventually it started seemed ok at higher rev but died at low revs, managed to limp to a suitable stopping place, discounted the electric choke and seemed ok, 30 min later died again. Limped home stripped the carb down. Nothing obvious on stripping apart but when I put back together one of the floats did not sit right and may of been sticking shut. All seems ok now but I need to run it again. Cheers Tony

Do you REALLY want to know if everyone has had a Big Turnout. Seems like too much info to me :P :P :P
I may be there tomorrow ...... took my kit cars for a quick spin, both had problems with switches not working through lack of use.
Kevin
Wont be there tomorrow. My dad had a stroke and is in the RUH, and added to this my wife went and got a kidney stone which resulted in a ambulance trip and a overnight stay in the same RUH. Then today, the ambulance returned, but she is at home.
So I will be staying local just in case we get visit no 3.
Have fun you guys.
M
Dixie,
You are not having much luck - best wishes to all of you.
Ian
Hope everything works out OK, sounds like a case of very bad timing.
Thermals on, flask made on my way soon. Should be there just after 9.... 8)

Got there for just after 9 thinking. Cool I can park where ever I want!!! WRONG.. Dam that was busy. Even tractors arrived for a show. Meet briefly with a couple of the guys before leaving at 1030..
Cant fault the weather. More please. Will post pics later.
It was a cracking morning. The place was packed & a really good turnout from our club. It seemed like July not March. :o 8)
Glad I made the effort"
Well I took loads of pics as Anna couldn't make t down today due to working nights :( Here's just a few

WOW!!! I've seen the square full in the summer before now but never like it was today and never so early in the year.
Picked up my pal at 8.50, quickly fuelled up en route, and arrived at approx. 9.20 ish to find the place rammed full with not a single place to park up. Managed to dive into a space by the kerb after a while and then proceeded to lap up the glorious weather and the many sights and sounds of an excellent show of machinery.
As the boys in blue are work colleagues, I can tell you that they too were pleased at the turn out of vehicles and they enjoyed themselves although they were working.
A great result all round I reckon and nice to put a few faces to names on the website. Just sorry that I couldn't park up with you all as my Hood must have been one of the oldest '7' s there compared with all the Westy's
A final note; did any of you '7' boys spot the series 4 Lotus '7' ( plastic bathtub)on the hotel side of the Sq. they're few and far between nowadays and it brought the memories back to me when I had a 'J' reg ' one.
TTFN Shall we do it all again next month?? ;D ;D ;D
Ps . Bri, the mk 2 Jag is a Daimler according to the grill. ;) ;)
Great photos Bri - looks like you all had a fab morning out
Cheers Adrian
Pete. some of them boys in blue are members of our club too. :) It was good to see them about admiring the cars like the rest of us, beside it's such a good atmosphere with no trouble I bet they wish all the gatherings they have to go to are this friendly? :D
Though I must admit I didn't recognize one of you at first even though we had a nice long chat last time. :-[
Sorry mate, I'm hoping to see your honda westy on track at some point. :D
Yes it was good to see the plastic bath tub too Pete. :D
I would have liked to have got a picture of that truck next to my westy. 8)
Nice pics Bri :)
Superb meeting ..... certainly the biggest Queens Sq meeting that I have ever attended
I think we really need to arrange a time when we are all there to meet up at as I missed some of you guys who did go. Perhaps opposite the cafe where the first guys who get there normally park? Say about 10.30?
What do you think? :)

Having trouble up-loading more!! Will try again tomorrow..
Good idea Colin suits me fine. You can call the register then and see who's having packed lunch and who wants school dinners Te he he !!! (Only joking).
Meeting up is good . ;D ;D ;D
I think Colin has a point about meeting up - there are people I wanted to meet and they didn't know me and I didn't know them. I think I have a photo of Mendip Wurzel trying some innovative parking in a Hood that is shinier than the Sun - so if you were there, Ian, says Hello!
Perhaps it is time for the T-shirt now we have an excellent logo. And maybe "the BKCC Banner" perhaps as a rallying point.

Yep, that was me in that I parked in the pavement as that was the only place I could find, and not soon after the 'boys in blue' arrived. They didn't seem to mind all of the illegally parking, thank goodness.
I looked into a banner last year but I found they are not cheap. :( I looked into a 4 meter flag one with the car stand on it so it would be easy to put up on any ground.
If anyone has any contacts on where we could get one at a discount please let me know? It would be nice to have one with the new logo? :D
Thanks Colin.
Where's our banner gone then? ???
8)
I still have the old one Bri. which I will take to the shows. :)
I'm hoping to get a upright 4 meter flag one with the new logo on it with a car platform base as they are easy to transport & put up hassle free on any ground.
It just depends on how cheap I can get one for at the moment? :)
Not sure quite when this was taken but a good pic of Rob rolling through the square here. http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=65117 halfway down the page. :P

That does look a while back. Rob looks a lot older these days. :P
He does look seriously cool though - focussed, intense even 8)
Going by the date on the tread it was 2009, prob' only just got it! :o

Nah, my face had frozen after a trip down the M32 with no windscreen! :P
I really enjoy heading down the Queen's Square for these meetings. There is always something new to see.
I have a slight concern however. The meeting is at risk of becoming a victim of it's own success. Word is going around and every month (weather depending) it is getting more busy. Look at this month. All the parking spaces were full before 9am. Then the double parking starts. Not necessarily an issue on a Sunday morning perhaps and we're not blocking any main roads. The police are down there now. They have been very friendly so far but may start asking questions if they feel we're blocking access to emergency vehicles.

I had that thought myself, it seems all types of vehicles are joining in tractors, jcb's, perhaps custom hgv's next? I saw the meeting being recommended on a BMW site this week so expect a showing from them too. I can't think of a venue thats going to be able to cope with it if the expansion continues. Only a matter of time before the authorities start twitching. Really hope a solution is found as losing this event would be a tragedy. Need a disused airfield or something?
If the Police start getting complaints from either property owners or the Public then that is likely to kill the event, which is a shame. Something similar happened with the Piston Heads meeting in Cheddar which got too big and the complaints followed, and that was the end of the big events. They sometimes have smaller meeting but nothing like the events of a few years ago.
Maybe the answer is to segregate each type of vehicle - hgv, agricultural, kit, historic ect ect and hold different meets for each. I'm into kits, but still find a well turned out hgv beautiful. The work and dedication that goes into each group is whats important. How about each different group delegating someone to liase with other groups to organise individual meets. That way all meets can be preserved without incurring thr wrath of the authoriries
be to keep it going, but I think our time is marked
once the burke with the Red Trousers decides its for push bikes only that will be the end >:(
