Title: Back in the garage
Post by: Bulldog Bri on 13, April, 2014, 07:28:34 PM
I've now made a start on Anna's Bulldog, the paint was looking very tired and crazing (plus a little bump) meant it was time to re-do it all again. And all before Stoneleigh! :o
Stripped down and primered

Looking better

Even the cobwebs outside were looking lovely

2K, Celly didn't hold very well and chipped very easy.

I am pleased with the finish, mostly. But spraying in the garage, I did get a fair bit of dust land on it so I still have to rub down and polish up. :-[

Now that Anna's Bulldog is out of the garage, I've had time to clear some space and dig the Locost back out where I can work on it! ::)

Jobs include, New dashboard, sort out the front brakes that have seized on, probably a new starter motor (this ones gone weird), re fit the seats and tidy all the bodywork. After that a dam good tune-up ;D

Wiring coming along well and even started the engine again. Seats need to be sorted out (little welding required) and a small repair to the nose. Then I suppose I should start looking at the paperwork again ???

I tested the Overdrive solenoid yesterday, but no life was found, will be taking that out to see if I can persuade it back into service ;)
