Summary of Maintenance:
Date: Wednesday, 1st September 2010
Time: The BKCC server reboot will only take a few minutes and will occur upon completion of the security updates, anytime from 6pm on Wednesday evening to 2am on Thursday morning
Reason: To apply security patches, update system software and reboot the server on which our website is hosted.
Expected Downtime: I expect the downtime to be just a few minutes. However, a file system check may be required in order to ensure data integrity and this may take a little longer.
Laymens terms: You may not be able to see our site for a short while later today.
I apologise in advance for any inconvenience this essential short period of downtime may cause. If for any reason the maintenance cannot be performed at the scheduled time, the maintenance will be rescheduled for a later date and I will notify you.
