hi all , im hoping for some advice on barnett clutches, i am using r1 5pw injected engine and it definitely needs the uprated clutch , my question is the option open to me on purchasing one, which plates are better kevlar or carbon fibre and im going to convert to spring pressure plate set up and there are options for heavier set springs when using in b.e.c.

Anyone have experience with using them in cars, what are best options?
Hope someone can shed a bit light on it
thanks

Dunno yet. The north side of the house and long garden boundary runs along next to the road. That means good access to the road. The ground is on a slight slope and very lumpy. I'm clearing out all the vegetation and will either plough it or use a rotovator to even it up. That's the plan up to now. Got a 10 metre square out building which is beyond repair , so it's coming down. Dunno what I'll do with that yet. I'm not sure what to plant yet, but grapes and fruit trees are popular here. So now got all the space I ever wanted, just got to figure out what to do with it! Found a place to buy steel tube ect. Can get welding gas/supplies, paint ect. There are even scrap yards here. Weather is usually sunny although a couple of weeks ago we had a surprise snow shower, didn't last long though. Now is sunny and in the 20's. I hear it has been rough over there though!

You should see the paperwork over here! I bought a little car last week and the process is the same for buying a house! Notary, interpreter, registration, passport and a couple of hours later, done. There is a Bulgarian chap near me with 2 Robin Hoods but the language barrier is a problem. I've seen a RH for sale in Spain on Ebay a while back. I think the easiest way would be buy one in UK with reg' and import. Roads here are crap. make UK roads look like billiard tables!

Got tons to do with my garden at the mo', 1840 sqm that hasn't been cultivated in 10+ years plus 2 outbuildings falling down. Transit bus coped well with the move over, but needs to be off road for a while for a good going over. Wouldn't believe I came over to relax. lol

Hi Dave,

Must be something to do with the downfall of the UK? :)

From what I can gather, Chris suffered a stroke, assuming he was the owner before the present owner, and that is why she was sold. I miss the old girl but it would be a complete nightmare getting a kit car out here, the red tape is unbelievable and everything has a fee attached!

I'll put some pics up when I receive them.

I remember it. The chap you sold it to was Chris, near Yate. Also remember your move too. I moved as well and have bought a house in Bulgaria! I'm about 30 minutes drive from the Greek/ Turkish border and an hour or so from the Black sea coast. Are you doing anything car wise now? I was sad to sell 'Ratbag' and the Quantum but kept my Tranny bus and drove it over here. Been a bit busy on the house and garden so haven't done anything carwise.

Hi all. It's been forever since I posted on the club. Once we moved to Portugal we have not stopped with the renovation etc.

Hope all are doing well, and I miss the meets for sure! I had an email out of the blue a few days ago from a chap who has bought my old Locost 442. He bought it of the previous owner who had ill health which caused him to sell it on again. I was hoping someone in the club may have seen it in the area as the guy I sold it to was in the region but no-one had seen it. Apparently there were some half-finished mods which he wants to sort but he will send me some pictures when he can. So glad she is still on the road! Not sure where he is based but hopefully close enough to join the club :)

Summer will soon be here all ;)
