Since Thursday last week if I try to accelerate anything from fairly hard or get above 50mph the engine starts to splutter and run very roughly. I've gone throughthe fuel system, ie new fuel filter, checked the carb for muck (none). But it still the same. Now thinking Plug leads or condensor, (must get around to electroic ignition one day)

Any other thoughts guys?

Maybe something to do with the advance mate? Check for splits in the vacuum hose, or sticking weights.

Try sucking on the vacuum hose to see if the plate advances.
