Depends when but I'd definitely be interested in this.  I wonder if the 2014 cabinet is built ready for more trophies after the regulation changes!

robp

I had a day there with work a few months ago.  The car collection is great.  However, they only had the year on them and no information about successes and technical innovations.  I guess this won't be an issue though if it's an escorted tour as the guide will let you know all the interesting bits.

Have I miss read this.  Says tickets are NON refundable, and doesnt include any access to the williams factory?

benchmark51

I saw that too. Bit off putting I thought, but no factory access is a bit understandable as they
need to protect their race winning technology after all they came NINTH in the constuctors results.
I dont much like Red Bull but the vodka is most welcome! :P

'The Gaffer'

I just noticed that too. I guess security is paramount but its making the entry charge look a little less palatable now.

Might still be game though if there is enough interest.

Moleman

Bri it is based just south of Oxford, about a hour's drive away. I will sort out dates ifI get enough interest as I need at least 10 people. I'm thinking about April time.

I haven't ruled out a possibilty of a factory visit yet. I will be contacting them about this with a promise of not taking Phones, camera's & bags in this bit?  :)    No promises though.  :)

Cob68

I am also up for this so please put my name down.

Sprint 7

Did anything more come of the chance of seeing the factory ;D

Moleman

Pete. until I get a better responce I have no bargaining power for a club visit.  :-[

I haven't ruled it out if we get more people who would like to visit it.  :)

Iancider

Colin,

Put me down for it with a guest.

If anybody has a spare seat we might be able to take some more guests along to make up numbers.

Thanks
Ian

We wont be seeing much of you then JB :(

Why the move?

YellaBelly

Thought it was common knowledge chap?

Jan is from that neck of the woods, and her son, wife and the grandchildren are moving out to Potrugal in 2015, so we want to spend the last year down nearer to them before they go. Also, we both miss the coast, and you can't exactly call W-S-M the seaside ;)

I work from home now I've changed roles at work, so no more globe-trotting thank God! and no work reason for not moving.

I will stay in touch with the club though, and hopefully get out on some of the longer runs, especially if they are further South :) Won't be moving much before end February-early March I wouldn't think.

fullpint

:o News to me mate. Best you finish of the MG so Jan can drive it down South.. ;D

Moleman

I didn't know that either Jb.  :(
You will be missed. I need all the regulars I can get when it comes to actually taking the kit car somewhere.  ::)
Hope it all goes well for you & there will be some trips down south so we will see you then.  ;D

I have spoken to the williams factory & there is no way of a factory visit.   :( This still could be a good place to visit if you guys are still up for it. The £35+vat (£42 I'm guessing) would need to be paid when booking it.
I would still be interested but it does seem abit expensive now.
What do you think? If you are still up for it I'm thinking April 5th if so?  :)

Dixie

Evening.

Count me out if we cant go to see the factory.

Good try and thanks.

Mark

Moleman

No probs Mark. Thanks for the feedback.  :)

What does everyone else think?

'The Gaffer'

Does seem a bit pricey to me but I will come along to make up numbers if necessary.

Moleman

What about everyone else? Is this still worth booking without the factory visit? I'm still game if you would like me to organise this?  :)

Sumov8

Colin

I would still be interested in a visit.

fullpint

£84 plus fuel and food (based upon the wife coming) is a little OTT for me mate. Appreciate the effort going into this one and hopefully you will have a few takers mate..
