Yes, me too (weather depending).  Planning to attend both Avenue Driver's club meeting in the morning and BKCC meeting in the evening.

Looking forward to seeing your Westy, Rob, with all it's winter upgrades.  Also planning to come a see you at the first round of the Speed Series at Combe.

Me and the missus could possibly make it to the avenue depending how I feel..  Got the dreaded flue bug at the mo so depends how I feel  on Sunday......

We would like to spend the day out and also  come to the meet in the evening.

Ho yes... the battery held full charge over night and started the car first time this morning. So a quick wash over the Bulldog, with the help of my girlfriends son and we went on down to the Queens Sq meeting.

Popped down to the Avenue Drivers club meeting this morning.  Slow start with people arriving as it was damp.  However, weather soon improved and loads of cars arrived.  Many cars went on a cruise around town at 11:30am.

Quite a good turnout for time of year.  Both mudgard brackets broke on the way there, one came off on way down, and had to take the other off before that came off Oh well, I supose ill spend the rest of summer without them.

I was coming to Avenue meeting this morning but managed to put some diesel in my kitcar... it didn't go to well and created an incredible smoke screen on the way home.

Does diesel damage petrol engines? I don't think it does assuming you don't have a Cat converter.

I'm wondering if the slight stuttering might have something to do with the new gearing... as it only at low revs... dunno... 

Did you notice anything when you changed over to your gearbox Dave...?

    Don't think it's recommended in the Haynes Manuals Kev......

    I would bung a can of carb cleaner in the tank and change the fuel filter at least.....bet it will still smoke for a while though.

DEISEL IN PETROL TANK - I have drained the tank and fuel lines and it seems to be now running okay. I always thought deisel didn't harm a petrol engine for short distances other than if you have too much deisel it just won't run. All you end up doing is chucking out loads of smoke and the engine performance is non existant. I had to get home with the choke half out otherwise it would not run (I reckon 2/3 deisel & 1/3 petrol in the tank). I know you can damage your cat converter, which I don't have. Obvioulsy the other way around, petrol in deisel, then stop the engine immediatelly.

You probably all think I'm daft doing this but I went in a Total Garage & they were selling Total Excellium deisel out of a normal coloured pump (ie - not a black deisel pump) with a yellow Total Excellium badge. I genuinly thought I was putting petrol in the car and without the modern restrictor plate on my kitcar petrol tank and this is what happend. I blame Total for their confussing pumps, but then I would!!!

Kevin.  If you remember, I done the same thing last year with my camper van, only the other way around, petrol in dev. and drove it all the way to Poole in Dorset. You will find you are a bit  more careful what you put in your car from now on.
