p.s. top site Phil, can't fault it! ;)

Thank you :).

Llandow is a great track. I too have been in the passenger seat there a few times.

Only down side is its a bit of a tyre shredder apparently?

As a new member let me add my thanks for a great website, one addition that might be good would be a list of supplers and companys that members have found useful.
Thanks again, JT

Funny you should say that....I was just going to post some imfo. on a site I just used that were very good and with a great selection of stuff for Kit cars.

Their called Car Builder Solutions at www.cbsonline.co.uk.

I expect a few of you are familiar with them but they were new to me.

Sounds a good idea to post good sites into a directory with a few comments, very helpful if you're looking for odd things. ;)

I have set up a links page here a while back http://bristolkitcarclub.co.uk/smf2/index.php?topic=82.0

In Traders section you will find a few companies that offer club members discounts.

In the next couple of weeks I hope to have a dedicated suppliers section that members can add to also.

The suppliers link page is good Phil, when members have access to add bits I would like to see what local suppliers people are using. As an example is I am always in "Nuts & Bolts" in Weston Super Mare. There are just brilliant in my opinion for fixings and great for the stainless stuff.
Things like where do people get good welding done (I can weld but to a rubbish standard), where is the best metal suppliers etc etc.

Personal circumstances have meant that I have not participated as much as I had hoped but I appreciate all the hard work that goes on behind the very smart web pages and enjoy meeting with people now and then. I will try and make more of an effort if possible and still remain appreciative of the club and its aims. Weekday evenings are difficult and I am encouraged to be around at weekends but if the chains slip I will try and get out more. Message from me is keep up the good work. Not really into trackdays -(wrong type of car)  but good to have the club around. Thanks

Hello stranger and welcome back :) Hope to catch up with you soon.

This thread has a few suggestions for keeping the club fresh and active, I have also had quite a few email responses which were very helpful.

I hope to be able to concentrate more on the club next season but simply dont have enough free time to organise everything. It is with that in mind that I am still looking for someone to help organise meets and events, and also for people to suggest and organise their own events.

Although I dont own a kit car any more makes no difference, I still have a keen interest in the club and it's members, I and it simply needs support for it to survive.

Here's to an active and fun 2012 season.

I wish I had something to add, I was hoping to get to some of the meets this year.

I actually dont know what to expect, at least not yet.

Hi,
A very newbie, so don't feel able or qualified to comment. I would like to thank the community for the welcome both on line and at the Riverside Meet. Without a road registered KC I specialise in track days. But, who knows, something may stir in the garage over the winter and, butterfly-like, emerge in the spring.
I look forward to meeting more of you soon.

Hi Phil.

Maybe a For sale and wanted section.

Mark

There already is one Mark. It also includes a eBay child board.

Have a look down the list of boards mate and you will see it.

oh yea, sorry Phil.  I even looked for it before I posted.
