CO2 level stated on V5 for SVA cars?

Just took the Westfield for a MOT.  The tester asked if I had the log book as that stated what the CO2 emissions the car needed to pass for the MOT.  This is the first time I've been asked that.  (For info: the car is a 2004, non Q plate).  In the past I have always had to pass the same test as any other 2004 car.

Anyone cast any more light on this one?

Rob, if you have any more problems, take the car to FCM and get a BKCC discount. They are very knowledgeable about performance car emissions too.

Sorry I cant answer your actual question.

I was told on my westy mot that if the car is a Q plate then it's just a visual test but any 0 plate comes under the normal production car regs.
So it's normally easyer to bring the last mot certificate which contains the details they need to log the car on to the system for the database. (it's all I needed)
If you didn't have this then perhaps they asked for the log book as this may also have the details needed to put on the database?
So in this case it should come under any 04 car mot reg.
Hope this is right & may shed some light on why they asked?
