Yes that is surprising - but also its not at the same time!

It keeps happening.  I once went to a Liquidators sale of Factory assets and bidders were bidding more for second-hand tat that they would have paid retail.

I have just seen on fleebay somebody selling 1m of Self Almalgamating tape for £1 and you can buy a 15m reel for £3 anywhere.
