As always with these things there has been project creep.

Brian and I went to see the car today.  The car is in bits

We have asked to have the following done:

1. Rewire the car.
2. Sort the cooling
3. Improve the cars ability to run on low octane fuel (just in case we cannot get 100+ octane
4. Sort the exhaust
5. Replace all hoses
6. Replace fuel pump shelf.
7. Sort the aircon
8. And so one.

Then getting into the project we have choices to make.  So to get the engine remapped we need to know the cams fitted and the engine builder do not want to give their details away.  So new cams.  Might as well get a bit more power and better torque curve.  OK to take advantage of the cams a larger throttle body and matched inlet manifold add in a air mass meter + new air filter.

Each job has escalated similarly as has the time to get the work done.

But when it is done we should have a reliable car with 750bhp.

I also got the details on the gearbox and looked at max speed in each gear . Talk about long gearing 2nd 115mph, 3rd 172, 4th 215, 5th 255, 6th 272.  Not sure it will go that fast but ----.

Not sure about the salt flats but might try V-max again this year (exhaust leek meant we took the Zenos last year)   

I am excited to get the car back too.

I promise the aircon is not a luxury.  You really need it.  The heat it generates in traffic just cooks you.
