Title: Finally got the car out of the garage today
Post by: 'The Gaffer' on 06, April, 2013, 09:44:45 PM
As some of you know I'm a bit of a fair weather open topper so at last today I got my Alpina out for a bit of a polish and a quick blast. It was great to get the wind in my one hair again ;D

Up to my car, my business van has not been pampered quite so much.. I must give it a good clean one day :-[.

I always take my westy to sainburys after a trackday. The guys that do the wash & polish do a really good job of getting the rubber marks & dirt off.
Well worth £7 while i have a coffee.  :D

Although those handwash guys are indeed convenient, in a lot of cases they are masters of the swirl. I have never seen them use the 2 bucket method, nor have I seen them even change the water in their only bucket. Sadly all that means is they are rubbing grit from every other car before you onto your nice paintwork.

If you do use these guys, at least insist they clean the bucket first and take your own sponge for them to use.

Just my 2p worth.
