OMG I just read this, had not heard the news.
He was the staple radio for me as I grew up.
Dropping like flies, I guess you just get to a certain point in life where all these people are of a certain age and die off.

Indeed, I wonder if there will be any famous memorable people left for our next generation to mourn.

That did come as a shock today, I did not know he had been ill.   His wit and happy disposition will be missed by us all.
