Just thinking what a good strap on accessory that would be for track days.  Just as a car appears behind you add a bit of thrust.  You go forwards faster and they leave the track! 8)

At a guess it will be a hydrogen peroxide rocket, basically no moving parts just a chemical reaction in a tube. The first time I saw this technology was in the 80's at Santa Pod where a guy called "Slamin Sammy Miller" brought a rocket car over called vanishing point and shattered every record going. It was so fast the Yanks banned him from driving at anything over IIRC 250mph. It did over 300mph in the quarter mile then.
This was so much faster and weird to watch than a normal top fuel, there was no noise at all, then it shot of with a whoosh after it had gone. We all thought this was the maddest thing ever until the year after a Dutchman called Hans Vink turned up with the same engine on an ex top fuel bike and I swear you saw the bike move his arms stretch and then it was all gone.
Those two guy's, like the French guy have a special kind of madness.

Good shout, as long as the wheels don't break up.

Where do you get 200 MPH bicycle tyres?  I knew a guy who pedaled a bike to over 150 MPH, behind a Bonneville lakester, he used 50cc racing motorcycle tyres.
