Wife's 'new shape' KA is in for it's MOT next week so I was giving it a quick look-over. Looking at the corroded exhaust back box I had a closer look and had a bit of a feel for leaks....and there was one    Having got a few quotes I asked the local independent exhaust guy to take a quick look before he fitted the new box and he wasn't at all concerned. The corrosion is an outer sound 'deadening' which does corrode away (I knew they were double skinned) but the hole is meant to be there. Apparently the KA/Fiat 500 back box has a hole to let the condensation run out ! Talk about feeling stupid........but at least he saved me £100+

I expect most of the national chains would have just taken your money. Good to know you have a local guy you can trust.
