These are worth going too but not sure my car will be ready by this Sunday I'm sorry to say.  :(

Hope it's better than the Sparkford Breakfast Club, they stopped serving fry-ups at 11am and were charging £7.85 without
tea or coffee! :o

Shan't bother again.

Tony - the breakfast is much better and cheaper but the queue can be long because it is so popular and there is a good turn-out of really nice cars.  I have to say I am torn though with the Piston heads rally at Cheddar at exactly the same time - maybe I could do an early breakfast and then tootle on down the gorge as well.....

Might come then, Dixie is in Wales with the Cobra Club so at a loose end.....what time are you going? ::) ;D

I may go to Redhill for an hour or so for breakfast and then leave for Cheddar before 11.00.... that way you get good impact when you arrive at Cheddar, assuming you can park.

Probably worth keeping at eye on the Cheddar event for numbers, as it doesn't look as if many are going at present.... I guess a lot of this is weather dependent

Iancider

That does sound like a good idea and if we turn-up en-masse then there will be plenty going!

Colin, I could offer a ride if you feel left out!

Ian

Thanks for the offer mate but I will pass if the car is not ready due to other commitments.  :)

Me and Wifey are definitely going.....be there at 9.30 - 10am, then trip up the gorge and a pint at Priddy. :P

Late reply but we had a lovely time.

Five of us in all in four cars.  Good showing at Redhill - many really nice cars including a big showing for Astons and old MG's.  Breakfast service was brilliant - full English handed to me before my Tea was poured :P :P :P.  Met a Westy builder who I am sure will be joining us soon!

Next, the Gorge.  Turn-out at 11:00 was pretty good - probably over 100 cars.  Most of them were very loud  :o.  One Aeriel Atom , several Ferraris, lots of Supras and Scoobies.

Headed back up the Gorge to a brilliant pub in Priddy - The Queen Victoria - it has to be in my top ten pubs of all time.  Well worth MULTIPLE VISITS!

The weather was bright but the wind was cold.  It was a great outing.  I think Mendip Wurzel  is going to post some pics.

How did it go today?  :D

Nice morning out but bl**dy cold coming over the Mendips!

Got there about 9.45am the rest were already there....Mendip Wurzel his wife and the dog!, Ian, Crash test dummy,
"Casino" Pete and his mate in a MGB.

Didn't take any pics but the rest did so i'm sure some will be posted.

Good gathering with lots of classics and Yanks. ;)

We set off up Burrington at 11.00 then down into Cheddar to see the Petrolhead gathering.....not so big as when we
went as a Club with the usual idiots seeing how much noise they could make hammering up the Gorge.....think a Lambo
"won", he must have hit 70mph between the carparks! :o

  Tony

Finally headed up to Priddy for a Pint. :P

Shame I missed it. I had planned to come but:
1) My shocks haven't come back from being refurbished yet so no front suspension
2) Even if they had I only got the last coat of paint on the metal bits today so wouldn't have had time to put it back together
3) My wife wasn't well so even if the car was in one piece I would have cried off.

Glad you had a good time. Just need to make sure the car is back together for 3rd May now!

I was a bit busy today and had to be in Bath at 11.30 am, cook dinner and watch the F1.
Good race, Kimi nearly had it. Maclaren milkfloats- no change there!

Iancider

Too much detail we don't need to know when you had a bath!
