Hello everybody,
Firstly, top rate site!
Ok, new to kit cars always been into bikes, but follwing accident 5 years ago wife said no more for which I can't blame her.
Anyway, she told me to get a new hobby, but wouldn't let me enter the red bull air race so I was stuck.  Don't have the garage space to build a car and so toyed with getting one of several TVR, maserati, porsche but none really did anything for me other than to say middle aged bloke going through mid life chrisis,
Then I saw something completely different that was reported as being not far off superbike performance my GKD evolution. Cosworth stage 2 tuned putting out a now detuned for the road 265bhp. Based on the Ginetta G27 with G27 underpinnings. Booked in for a pressure test and checkover with motorsport developments (cosworth specialist in blackpool - I know any excuse) and then looking for a reputed servicer for maintenance/upkeeping.
I live in sunny Severn Beach and wanted to go on the run on sunday, but other plans had already been made  - that said am usually available for a run sats/suns so if you're up for it so am I 8)
Thanks and looking forward to meeting you all.
Steve

Thanks Phil,
something that people tend not to have seen before so it keeps people guessing.

Hello and welcome Steve.

Great looking car there, shame you were unable to make the run on Sunday but we do have others lined up for the rest of the year though not jooint club ones (yet).

Maybe you can make it over to a one of the monthly club meetings. It's a bit of a way to come but are worth popping in and well attended in the summer with a drive to a second venue planed as well, back towards Bristol if that helps convince you to join in  ;)

Welcome Steve... look like a very well put together car.

evolution

Thanks all for the warm welcome.
Firstly, where is the meet as I don't seem to find where, plenty talked about.
To answer some of your questions
Tony - of course  :o and she's unusually very easy/relaxing to drive slowly.
Richard - I assume you know the car or previous owners. Driving back was a blast with a lot of uncertainties culminating in the loss of the clutch. After swearing to myself, smoking and drinking a can of coke I got round to opening the bonnet and after a further 5 minutes swearing, smoking another fag and drinking another can of coke started to look for a guiding light. Went to clutch housing (I've seen it in films) to trace the cable back and lo and behold problem solved cable had popped out so off I went on remainder of journey home.    8)
Adrian - no track days planned for 2 very good reasons. Firstly my legs don't react quickly enough any more, although they are getting stronger as nerves regrow and secondly the important one - my wife!!

Club Meetings are on the 2nd Sunday of the month (11th July is the next one) -

Meet up at around 7pm - 7.30 at The Lock Keeper pub. Keynsham Road, Keynsham, Bristol. BS31 2DD. Then if the weathers good a drive on to another pub as suggested on the evening.

Hope you can make it over of a meeting

Ah, that looks easy enough to get to, I was thinking it was more Bath way.
Will definitely try for the meet.  Might even try to tempt the wife to come with me (or maybe not).

A very warm welcome Steve.

It sounds by your posts, you will fit in perfectly with the rest of us nutty lot in the club.
Great looking car too.  Cant wait to see it for real.
