Furore Phil

Hi,

I'm after a mark 1 (mk1) Toyota MR2. It's going to be the donor for my car, so the engine needs to be running, but I don't care about the state of the body work.

Must have a V5 !

I don't have access to a trailer, so must be driveable, or delivery would be preferable. MOT failures are acceptable.

I have checked e-bay. The only examples I have seen are over 100 miles away ! I'm in Calne, about 30mins south of Swindon.

Bulldog Bri

If I hear of one I'll give you a shout

Hello stranger, we were only talking about your build this morning.

Will keep a look out as well, do you have a max price in mind?

You could always put a 'wanted now' on eBay, you might be offered 1000's :) http://pages.ebay.co.uk/wantitnow/

Keep us up to date with that build buddy.

Richard

Another one there on 15th july but different colour  ;)

Will edit out those contact details in a days time as otherwise unfair to Trade-it and the individual.

minds and fools - they say  ;)

exchangeandmart

If you haven't already found one then there's a few going on exchange and mart. By the looks of it other people have given you some suggestions so I don't know whether this has come too late but if so then I hope it's going well!

Furore Phil

Hi guys - still no luck.

Thanks for the info. I'm keeping a look out on Trade-it and e-bay, but I keep getting outbid ! arghhh. had a furious bidding battle an hour ago on ebay, no luck. Lack of funds is not helping. I'll create an ebay wanted advert. I already have set up some ebay mail notifications, but maybe a wanted add will work.

Any good scrappers out there that will deliver an MOT failure ?

Build is going well, but has stalled due to lack of donor. Loom is in, side panels trial fitted.

Bulldog Bri

Time to post a new pic (with trial fitting of the panels)  :D

Posted some new pics in the build pages.

I can just about scrape together £350. was beaten on ebay todya at £350.01 ! argh. must remember to post max bids in weird amounts !

Richard

Phil,  Keep plugging away you'll get one.
Alternatively what bits are you after and perhaps we can have a breaker hunt for you, I think between us we can reach a fair few of them to keep postage costs down.

Panels ? excellent update that build post and pics are a yes please !

'The Gaffer'

I always add a .07p on the end of bids.

Now I just know one of you folks will add .08p ;D

Bulldog Bri

Furore Phil

Thanks, I've emaliled him to see if he'll deliver.

Richard

Where's that man with the trailer gone ?
What was it 50p a mile ?

Richard

how about doing a van hire and a UPullit strip ?

One intense day but with a few going up with van and tools should see it pretty much taken to bits depending on what you need and you then have no disposal hassle !

It was Mark (Dixie) Quote I know someone who will do it for £0.50 per mile, its his business and is very good.  Mark

Furore Phil

Currently the highest bidder, but still 2 days to go.

Got a quote of £150 to deliver.

If that fails, there is another finishing Sunday. Fingers crossed

Richard

You'll get one soon !

But then you know the golden rule of not looking anymore don't you !!!!

'The Gaffer'

Richard

Phil,

When do you get it home for the butchering ?

Furore Phil

Hi,

It's supposed to arrive this Sunday, probably during the afternoon. That gives me all of bank holiday Monday to start stripping it !

I'll put some of the unwanted stuff on ebay - hopefully get some money back !

Furore Phil

Yay ! - finaly it's here. Arrived this evening. All seems ok, need to clean it up a bit, but it starts and drives ok.

Need to get a new V5 and SORN. Got the forms off dvla website

'The Gaffer'

Sorted :) Glad it all worked out OK Phil.

Time to start taking it to bits now.
