Title: Fuel filter
Post by: Luke8 on 25, March, 2016, 04:43:09 PM
Hi everyone. I'm going too change the fuel filter and was wondering if there's any pressure pre pump or is the pressure in the hose after the pump. First time doing it so thought I would ask. Cheers

Pressure after pump, slight vacuum before.

Make sure you buy a good branded filter.  I have heard of many horror stories from collapsed filters causing fuel starvation.  The best place is before the pump to save the impeller from any crud in the fuel.

Good start to go with this type, or bigger.

Same as what I have on a thirsty V8 and work fine. I have a permanently fixed pressure meter after the filter to monitor and adjust fuel pressure to carb..... also these chrome filters look nice.
