Title: Oil filter
Post by: Luke8 on 30, May, 2016, 02:22:06 PM
Hi everyone. Having some trouble fitting a new oil filter. The one Halfords recommended was too long too so I went back and asked them if there was a shorter one they could recommend. They gave me a filter with the code HOF201. it's a short one but know it doesn't fit the thread, it's very tight to screw on. Can anyone recommend one I could get from Halfords. Want to get this sorted today. I have a tiger cat, 2l 93 zeta/zetec. Any help would be great, cheers, luke

Best to look online, if you know your year of engine.
There has to be something online somewhere.

Hi Luke, I have a 1.8 Zetec but it has a long filter. Are there any markings on the existing one that can help?....maybe the same manufacturer? Ian

Thanks for the replys. I have sorted it now, looked online and managed to find the right code for the one Halfords do. I do have another question.... Where can I find the stays to connect to the front cycle wings?  Cheers luke
