As wheel discounts have been on front page and posted today I thought this would be a good time to post a link for a tyre size calculator in case any of you are interesting in swapping wheel or tyre sizes.

Absolutely sure you all know the knock on effect on diameter / radius and speed but whilst you are measuring those wheel arches and cycle wings for your new wheels perhaps a little online calculator would help simplify the maths bit of it.  ;)

Very handy Richard, I was only thinking about this the other day, This will help in my track day tyre search.

Thanks Richard - that's a very useful site.

Here's another handy little program that I've used many times:

http://www.locost7.info/gearcalc.php

GearCalc is a program that calculates theoretical maximum speeds in each gear and speed per 1000 RPM (revolutions per minute), given the maximum RPM of the engine (redline), the gear ratios, tyre size and the differential ratio. It also produces a chart of RPM values for every 10 Km/h increment in metric mode or every 5 MPH increment and gear up to the redline. Finally, it also calculates the rev drop at each gear change.
