Speedo Correction

Right, I've been putting this off for long enough!

I really need to sort out my Speedo inaccuracy. It over-reads by way too much and I want to try and sort it before the driving season gets going proper.

It is a Type 9 5-speed box mechanical drive via a 90deg adapter to the speedo. I know there are different ways of sorting it, but what is the collective view on the best, and cheapest!, method? I know the uber cheap route is to make a new face for it, but I don't want to do that if I can help it as it will just end up looking tacky

Any ideas chaps?

You could aways put bigger or smaller tyres on  ;) :) ;) :) ;) :)

dont they just change the driven gear coming out the box

If I had cash you had mate I would! ;) :D

But yes, I did find an article somewhere on changing the driven gears or something, no piccies etc. though so more digging required methinks!

Not sure whether it will change it enough though, I need to do more homework.

Electronic speedo? Cheap pushbike one might do if money is tight.
