Small piece of thin steel or ali needed

I'm looking for a piece of steel or aliuminum, 32"x17" min, thin so easy to bend into shape. As I need to make some ducting around the heater.

I've made up the cardboard pattern but only have some 2.5mm steel (not easy to fold). An old filing cabinet or even the side of an old fridge would do  ;)

a couple of weeks too late for me to help, will keep eye out though.

Bri,

You may remember me saying about the caravan aluminium sheet I got? (It's about 0.8-1.0 mm thick).

Would that be any use?

Sounds Perfect, as mentioned I only need a piece about 3x1.5 foot.

Many thanks

Result, and best place for a caravan if you ask me ;D

Sorry any caravan fans ;)

YellaBelly

Okey Dokey.

I'll sort it out for the next meet.

Assuming I'm not whisked off to some far flung part of the universe again!

Don't apologise Phil. Been there, tried it, saw the light and never looked back :D

I deserved all the abuse I must have got whilst towing onoe of the damn things many years ago ;)

DOH! Now that's what I call Jet Lag! lol!

Richard

Not sure yet but I may be coming past Swindon on M4 tomorrow sometime, perhaps a little courier type diversion could help as long as piece isn't too big for my little car.

Bulldog Bri

Thanks for the offer Rich but John and me have sorted it and did a shady looking collection in a layby just off the M4 this evening  ;)

Big thanks John, got something to do this weekend now...

No worries matey. Must have looked a bit clandestine to passers-by lol!

Looks like we're in for a good weekend, so should get a move on with the build.

I'll let you know how I get on with the windscreen thing too.

Another forum result, great work guys :)

Get that damn car built JB ;D

Richard

At least you got it.

Do you want to borrow that vice bender ? only 5" wide but open ends which makes it useful.

Well done you two, although I don't want to think about the layby thing too much.

Yessir boss! :D

Now I've managed to shorten the sump AND it's not leaking (after about 6 attempts!) I can get on and refit the engine so I can start placing all the stuff that might be in the way of it.

Praying the weather forecast is correct  :P
