2 close calls today...

Decided that as its a nice day today I'd go for a spin in the Indy.  Thought I'd check the oil quickly before I started the engine up as its been dripping a little oil recently,  There was no oil on the dipstick so much worse than I expected.  A little investigation to find where its coming from and I find the sump bung about 2 treads from falling out    So I screwed it back in and went to get some oil for the old gal. 

After getting the oil sorted I went for a slightly spirited drive, giving the car a clean when I got back and found that the NSF cycle wing is loose as the bonding has completely come away from the brackets, it was only held on by 2 small rivets and has broken the fibreglass around where the rivets go in.

I just feel very lucky today as it could have gone so much worse.  The wing could have flown off and smashed into a thousand pieces.  Even worse, the sump bung could have fallen out and cost me an engine...

Thinking about it, Maybe I should have bought a lottery ticket today?
