Title: Keevil track day today
Post by: 'The Gaffer' on 22, June, 2009, 06:37:13 PM
Skived off work and met up with David H and his Westfield this morning and did a few laps with him round the track at Keevil airfield near Trowbridge.

Dave was testing his new wheels and tyres; they seemed to grip pretty well to me, considering he had a passenger. Thanks for the ride Dave  :)

Met some great people mainly from the WSCC club Wilts and Hants district, all very welcoming and friendly.

The event was organised by Motorsport-events and ran flawlessly.

Did some BKCC carding too.

Once we have enough members who would be interested in a track day Keevil is defiantly one to consider.

A little pre track tinkering

Line up to go

Now to catch up with some work  :-X

Looks a much better way to spend a day !

Carding to,  very good.

What things did you do ? 0-60 ? laps ?   kind of curious.

Just laps, but very quick, not uncommon to hit a corner doing a 110 8)

It was good to see you there Phil, apart from my exploding starter motor, everything ran fine if not a little hot.

Its a great event as the atmosphere is extremely relaxed and the emphasis is on taking your car home safely. I just turned up last minute as they had a morning slot and there were plenty of people I recognised from being there before. Well worth a visit.

Tiiming is not allowed aty these events so if you do it, do it on the quiet.

We could organise a club day

A club day would be good, especially with a good cross section of cars.
