Is it an open event? If so I may find time to pop along..

Moleman

Mine is not quite ready yet mate. Is it a castle combe event or was it booked from a different company?
I may pop along in the morning if I have a chance. I could give you some pointers if you like? & how to drive it so you don't loose a piston.  ::) :P

Have fun Iain, I too was wondering who it was with.

Iainl

I've booked via trackdays.co.uk as I had a voucher to use

I hope it stays dry until lunch time so that i can get some dry time on the circuit tomorrow.

Don't fancy doing a wet track day & then driving home

Will anyone else be at Castle Combe tomorrow?

Cheers

Iain, If its dry I may take a drive out.. Bet you can't wait to get out on track... Have you done one before?

Iainl

Fullpint this is my first ever track day done some navigating on stage rallies but never driven before on an event.

So I hope it stays dry so I can enjoy it

Moleman

Sorry mate. I was gonna pop over but the part's I've been waiting for for weeks has finally arrived so I will be trying to get mine going as I'm booked in at combe for next week.  :)
Top tip, build up slowly at first & gradually get quicker as you go, so you get the feel of the track & how your car handles.  :D
Hope you have a good day.  :)

Ive only done action days abd every time at the drivers briefing they say
drive with in your limits..
You will be fine mate..

YellaBelly

Not sure what time you're starting chap, but I'll pop over if it's dry, I need to try out my exhaust repair so good excuse :D

Have good day. As others have said just start slow, its not a race. Just keep your eyes in your mirrors and let quicker people pass.

Once you've done lap or two you will find its not as scary as you think.

Quite often trackday organisers have qualified tutors at very reasonable rates, well worth booking one for a few laps.

Hope it stays dry, if not just take it a little easier.

Enjoy :)

Its dry at the mo so I will go and fuel up and pop down for half an hour mate..

Had a fantastic morning yesterday at Castle Combe (didn't want to risk it after the rain had dropped), only a couple of moments one around Camp corner which was interesting in 5th  :o

The only problem now is I want to do another one, but I think I only just made it through the noise test.  :D

Nice to meet up with Fullpint for a quick chat

Moleman

That does happen mate. Once you have done one you always want to do another.  :D
glad you had a good day mate.  :)

'The Gaffer'

Glad it went well, maybe see you at another one :)
