Sunday 17th April 2011 - Some interesting cars there last year.

Priddy Green Nr Wells, Somerset
BA5 3BB

Once again this year, this event will take the form of a "Scatter  Rally" followed by a gathering on Priddy Green, Nr Wells, Somerset.  If you do not want to enter the event, please feel free to just join us on Priddy Green from late morning.   At the start you will be given a sheet of photographs, each of which will relate to a location point. During the Rally entrants will pair up the photographs with the  locations to get points. Just visit as few or as many locations as you want to.This is NOT a treasure hunt, all the locations are easy to locate and all the photographs easy to identify from your car.Remember that the purpose of Drive-it Day is for you and your car to be seen on the road. Please take time to talk to interested passers- by and if you have any friends with suitable vehicles please encourage them to join us on the Green.   Also, if you are not a club member but would just like to come along and see what we are like, then please come to Priddy Green near Wells from around 12pm - and if you can come in a \"proper car\", then would be great!   For more information please see our website (link below).

Just been on the web page to get a closer look a the  "Suitable" car is quote "Remember that this event is open to anyone who has a Club-eligible car (ie: 30+ years old), so you can bring friends"  so I assume the drive it part is not for Kit Cars, so does that just  leave the green visit after the Classic show??

??? :o

I'm not sure to be honest, we just turned up at the green last year, had a bite to eat and a drink and had a look at the cars. It was pi**ing down though but a nice afternoon.

Dixie

Won't be bringing the Dax, she isn't very well.  Broken wheel bearings as Paintman and I found out last weekend.  >:(

Hi all,                     PRIDDY GREEN   _  DRIVE IT DAY   SUNDAY 17 APRIL
The Classic and Historic  Motor Club are organising an event for thier own members, finishing at Priddy Green as it did last year.
There is nothing to stop our own club having a run-out and finishing at Priddy Green.
If anyone is interested in a run-out I've set out details below.
Meet 10.15 at layby, A38 southbound just past Kings Head Roundabout, ready to depart at 10.30
Passing Duke of Wellington PH in Winford B3130 at approx. 10.35 and Castle of Comfort Inn, B3134 ( going towards Burrington ) approx. 11.00.
Ending up in Priddy about 11.25.
I shall be at the start layby.
If you're going to join us enroute, please be ready to tag on behind, we'll slow down but don't intend stopping.
We'll be pleased to see you if you can make it.
It would help if you could advise ( post )  if your up for it, Thanks, Casino

A pleasant gathering and nice to sit there in the sunshine for a chat and a good pint of beer...  enjoyable.

A nice Duesenberg, probably worth more money than all of the other car put together

Another shot of the Duesenberg, even the rear seat passengers have a speedo.

Tony (Wallnut) being summoned

That's a shame Kevin, they need to get themselves together by the sound of it. You should have shut them down ;)

Sumov8

Had a good run out to Priddy on the Sunday, shame the pub didnt repond to the waiting crowds
a missed opportunity there.
Had the car pulling to the left on the way home and the funny smell we had on the way down was found to be the front caliper binding

More work for the weekend
