Lots of people on-line so we might find out soon

dave_bence

I'm going to switch to Sunday as well.

I don't mind driving my car in any weather, but there will be a lot less kit cars to look at (outside the show halls) if the weather's iffy.

I'll be at Gordano services from 08.00 to 08.15 on Sunday.

Sumov8

Count Steve and Alan in for Saturday Rain or Shine, Grand Prix on Sunday and a bathroom to decorate.

Will still aime for 08:00 at the lorry park as previously arranged.

May leave early afternoon and not stay all day as we have a lot to do.

Regards

Good run down on the Saturday, show far better than Stafford.

So glad it never rained!! :P

Didn't notice any rain on the way down and the stop at Taunton for people to cool down was well accepted.  It was so warm that the M5 southbound stopped to admire the sunset, helluva turnout must've been for at leat 6 miles ;D

Hairy Santa

Iv'e been watching the forcasts on and off most of the day
All day they have been saying the weather is far more rain down at Exeter than in Bristol, and it really hasn't stopped here
Would appear they have got it totally wrong- yet again
I know where I would have my cutbacks

Motorway Services stop on the way down and note the lovelly clear sky.

Blue skies and Tonys car has an almost identical friend...

Peters car also has similar friends... Thanks go out to Peter for being todays team leader.

An unusual beast in that the engine is in the passenger seat.

I was put off by the Monsoon like rain, Thunder and Lightning and Hailstones  :o on Saturday morning so decided to leave the Nova in the garage and stay in bed !

If it looks like a dry start on Sunday I will be travelling down there.

Well, certainly no rain today :) It was a little chilly but bright sunshine all day. Ace Fettler even came down again for seconds. It's always nice to see a few cars together. Real shame it didnt work out on Saturday :( Perhaps next year we can all go down on the same day 8) Well done to the Saturday crew for risking the weather - that actually didnt turn out as bad as expected.

Nice to see JB in the crowd, sorry mate seemed I didnt have long to chat.

A chilly meet at Taunton services.

The show was very good and appeared well attended. I managed to stock up with some microfibre cloths and some trim. Lots of other things to tempt but I resisted.

What did you buy?

Daley Down Under

Microfibre cloths for me too - just need instructions from David H on how to use them now

peterw

Glad i went down in a Tin Top now, although when down there I couldn,t find anyone maybe we need a banner to put along side members cars saying BKCC or something.
Pete ;D

dave_bence

A good day out I thought.

Plenty of nice cars to look at inside and outside and good weather too ;D

The micro fibre cloth stand must have done a roaring trade, as I bought two packs too :o

Also got some stainless fasteners, a wheel cleaning brush, a magnetic pick up tool and finally, some Autoglym polish. I'll also have to ask DavidH how to use it properly :D

Eight kit cars gathered at taunton Deane:

A view from the other end. Marlboro car failed the formation parking test :D

Lined up at Exeter:

Plenty of cars outside:

Dixie

I also brought some microfibre cloths, some polish and a sponge to put it on!!!!!! dont tell the wife she'll think I am mad.
Also brought some door seals and a clock for the Dax.

oh yea and a hot dog, Paintman brought the coffee.

enjoyed the day, but cold.  At Taunton I was as cold as a cold thing in a cold place, bloody freezing and I had a heater.

Very enjoyable day ;)........bit of a cold start (3 degrees) but managed to warm up with coffee at the Taunton stop.

Bought some glue for the winter re-upholstery/board project and a nice neck wrap which was very welcome on the trip home.

Some smart cars there which looked great in the sunshine. ;)

   tony

Ace Fettler

Enjoyed both days. Nice cars, good company and micro fibre cloths aplenty (I also bought some + some wheel cleaning micro fibre spongy things on sticks).

For those who were interestd in my intercom system see here http://www.starcom1.com.  The latest all singing and dancing unit now has bluetooth for the phone connection eleminating some of the wiring.

The intercom units look interesting. I did try to look up if these units would  communicate with a two way radio, I couldn't find what frequency they used. For those not using a helmet it would be a cheap way to communicate.

Ace Fettler

The starcom units can be conected to pretty much any PMR446 "walki-takie". Although some of them are little more than kids toys the more expensive "profesional" ones give excellent performance. Matts Mev and I use Intek MT5050 units which give excellent range and performance when talking car to car via the starcom and helmet sets.

Like most of this type of thing the more you pay the better although on of the guys on saturday was using a cheap radio he got from Aldi and that was working quite well.

Richard

Great day out yesterday.  Bit cold but nice and sunny.  Lots of interesting cars to see.

Note to self: Take more cash next time.

Actually, thinking about it, probably just as well I didn't take too much cash.  Just come back with a load of stuff I don't need.  ;) :D

robp

WALNUT

Ibought a pair of goggles, which were great on the drive home, but when I got home and took a look in the mirror, I could see why people were laughing as I passed, what with my flying helmet and the goggles, I looked like Chubby Brown. lol

Tony

Maybe a new username in the offing there Tony? ;)
