Whoops have I gonna cost you guy's money  :o I do tend to surf EBay a per times a day..

Moleman

You could have borrowed mine but I need it sat & I'm away at the haynes show sunday. Also it's the dodington show this weekend so taik about bad timing.  :(
How far you got to go? Is it local? if so I could do it one eve but they never are local.
There is also a weight limit on mine up to 750kg as it's a specialist kitcar trailer, only designed for light weight kits.
sorry if this aint much help?  :(

I recon you are  ;)

Bulldog Bri

The car is in Cirencester so not to far. It's also only a 1300 Bulldog so lighter than mine and that is around 780kg. Hopefully we would need it from early Sunday (around 9:30ish) and be back mid afternoon.

What time are you off Sunday morning?

Lucky Ed

You're welcome to borrow mine if you like. It's a bit of a beast it's a 16ft tilt bed and you'll need a med/large car to pull it with.

I'm just near Pucklechurch - let me know if it's of any use and I'll PM you my number ;D

Bulldog Bri

Thanks Ed. Would a 1.9DTI Scenic be enough to pull it?

Lucky Ed

Might just about - you're welcome to come and try it if you like, I'll PM you my number.

YellaBelly

I can vouch for that trailer Bri. Ed loaned it to me for the re-test and it tows really well.

Not sure what sort of pulling power your motor has but most largish diesels should have a reasonable bit.

I was planing on leaving early but could drop it off sat eve if you got somewhere to store it until monday eve.
The weight is close but should be ok. I could even help you pick it up monday eve but if you think its easyier to borrow Ed''s then no probs. you might be better off with I braked trailer with the Scenic.

peterw

I got a two wheel towing dolly if that's any help?

Bulldog Bri

Thanks everyone, I've decided to take Lucky Ed up with his trailer to go get 'The Pup'

How did it go? Do you have the new pup now?  8)

THe day went very well. We picked up the trailer from Ed's then trundled up to Cirencester, found the place easily. Had a good look around the car and it was as described, so we loaded it up paid and brought it home.

The bodywork is a little faded and only a few cracks in the gel coat but as we are going to spray it no prob's. I found the throtle and choke cables so they were easy to put back, worked out there was a secret ignition switch  ;) the carb was full of muck so got Anna to clean that out and with the exhust downpipe refitted and a set of jump leads over to the battery we gave it a try. Eventually she fired up and is now running fairly sweetly though a bit smokie. All in all, very happy and it should make a great car for Anna. She even got underthe front of the car to replace the badge off the front of the car with a new Pilgrim sticker.

See!  :o
