Both of our Bulldogs are showing signs of their age and the roofs and side screens have long seen their best and I'm not sure how long I can keep them going with my needle and thread ???

I've had one quote from a small company in Fishponds of £1100 EACH! :o so I popped along to Krych Trimming in Kingswood today, as recommended by lots of people, only to find the unit was burnt out last night :'( He had given me a quote about a year ago of around £700 each.

I'm now having to look further a field, so is there any others that anyone knows of localish to Bristol?

I do know I guy at work that did this sort of thing. I know he don't do it anymore but may still know people in the trade. I will ask him for you mate.  :)

There's a company on South Liberty Lane that said they specialise in kit car roofs, I'll try to find they're name and number for you.

They're called A and J Trimmers at the end of South Liberty Lane in Bristol that do full hoods, repairs and custom work but prices unknown i'm afraid, Telephone number is 01173 700 720. Hope this helps and if well priced let us all know! ;)

They do custom work in loads of materials, might be worth a try? I got an estimate from them a few years ago for the Shelsley (not got around to it yet) and they seemed reasonable at the time

Bri, I thought I had posted about this one already, but the Haynes book on trimming  is excellent and taught me a few new tips. I have done some trimming in the past but not a hood unfortunately, only a tonneau, but as you already have a hood then why not have a go yourself, taking templates from the original and why not mock up a hood out of cheap vinyl or similar.  If you're happy with it .BINGO !!!

Bulldog Bri

Thanks Steve for the Ebay link, but our cars are Mk2's plus we need new sidescreens, the seller is Den Tanner :) who designed the Bulldogs and I've already had a chat with him and he no longer has the patterns for our cars :(

I have thought about making my own hoods and it might still come to that but gonna keep looking for now. Lol.

Finally got my car back today. Anna's came back a few weeks back but the bloke doing the work had kidney failure and was hospital for a week.
