My Sl-o-o-o-w Build

Hi all, started the build in 2005 with the purchase of my steel for the chassis.

Started the divorce machine later that year (nothing to do with the car!), and didn't start building again until July 2008!

I'm building a McSorley +442 (Locost) with 1.6 Pinto and type 9 5-speed box. Made the wishbones a little longer to cater for the wider rear end (using an RS2000 52" English axle with 9" drums)

I've got Cortina uprights and discs on the front and using a Mk2 Escort rack with Sierra wheel and column (just need to find a downlink to join the two :) )

I've put some pictures in the Gallery and will try and keep it updated.

Bye for now.....

Any idea on completion date?

For want of tempting fate, I am aiming to drive it to the Donington show in September.

Got home tonight and decided that it was time to move a little quicker. I've added another couple of pics to my gallery.

Sorted, by then we should have enough members to organise a run or two.

So get them tools out and get building  ;D

You are well ahead of me and aiming to be completed before me, come on let's see if we can have them done by our target dates and get to double figures meet by the end of the year !

So, I'm enthusiastic even though I still have an empty garage, got to be optimistic at some stage  ;)

Put few more pics up in the gallery. Hoping to get a squirt (no not a Megasquirt) on when I get back from Jordan end of next week. Got some more panels marked up ready to cut and weld in. Then going to start on the floor, much rivetting to ensue :o
