'The Gaffer'

A look back at some of the events of 2010, remember the sun?

Sorry I didnt get every event and everybody and their cars pictured but hopfully the folowing will bring back a few memories.

The first event of the year was a New Years day run Classic Car Meet at The Fleet Air Arm Museum at RNAS Yeovilton. Fair play to those that attended, it was freezing!!

Things were a little quiet through the harsh winter with only regular meets taking place when weather allowed.

In April things started to warm up a little and the first club event was the Pistonheads Cheddar gorge event.

Cheddar was dead when we arrived but within 5 mins it was full up!!

A few of us on the front row.

On to Hartleys for a bite and a cuppa. Always a warm welcome there.

Don't you dare scratch my car!!!

A quick natter before food.

Basking in the sun.

Cooling off.

Still in April the next event was the Priddy end stop for the classic run out. A good turn out with lots of classic cars. Down came the rain. Who didn't tell Paintman it was raining ;D I laughed seeing his wet ass till I realised my car was full of water too ;D.

We got there early, yeah ok I was fashionably late.

Down came the rain, looks dry in the pic but it was bucketing down.

Another event in April was a Performance Action day at Castle Combe which a couple of more track oriented members attended.

A very fresh day and a drive out to the Chew lakes also took place in April

Final event in April was the Italian Auto Festival in Bristol.

Did no one tell Tony you can't just park on a zebra crossing and zig zags??

The first event planned in May was the Hartleys Kitchen to Clevedon run. Sadly this one was rained off but a few hard-core members made it.

May saw a few more cars blowing off the cobwebs at the regular meet.
This Sundays meet went very well with a few more new faces - nice to meet you. Here's a few pics, love the last one - its a fibreglass loo roll ;D

Next event was the Haynes Motor Museum run.

I couldn't make this one, opened the garage door to be greeted by that familiar smell of fuel and a puddle on the floor from a leaking tank.

During May we also attended the CKC / OMEX track day. Fantastic weather and great fun.

Lovely blue sky, I was a bit late with the sunblock

Not forgetting the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show.

Here's our stand with a few rolling up. Shame the weather was so bad, could have been a great weekend.

BKCC HQ

Into June the Bristol Mini Day was first on the list.

I've never seen so many Mini's in one place

Avenue Cafe Queens Square meet in June

Pete took the brave step of announcing that he is now on a strict diet and demonstrated this by only ordering two breakfasts. Well done to Pete as this is certainly an improvement on the usual three.

Joint Pegasus and hot rod club meet, a great June evening.

Corner weight clinic inc BBQ. A good turn out for this June event. A very enjoyable and informative day.

A first few turning up out of the 18 booked.

Next was the Hampton Ferry kit car show mega meet in July. Hoping for a better turn out in 2011

Into August saw the ACKCC / BKCC joint run.

Ah, the sun...

BKCC Car Show & French Boules Competition - Saturday 7th Aug. A lot of interest in this one and a great day out.

In the spirit, well done that man..

The 'Tossers' try their best..

A few showers failed to stop play..

Into Sep saw the Gurston Down Hill Climb. Only 3 of us turned up but it was a very exciting day.

The second CKC / Omex  track day was another great event with 12 cars entering the fun.

September also saw another Castle Combe track day.

Adrian still looking for that 1.10s

The Oct Avenue Drivers Club monthly meeting saw a couple of new cars

My new Riot

And Pete's 330bhp of turbo charged muscle with around 600bhp per ton

In October we did some Drag Racing at Shakespeare County Raceway. I great event I could recommend to anybody. We only managed one run all day because of the rain.

Dave Bences' and my car waiting to race

Now into Nov the karting event was a great success with the BKCC supplying 4 teams of 5 to race for charity

October saw a Castle Combe track day.

Good BKCC turn out

One of the final events of the year was our Christmas Meal. A fantastic event.
