This site was built with the Mozilla Firefox browser in mind and looks very clear to me on that browser. During testing I used IE6 which also looked very clear.
I just downlaoded IE8 during a windows update and what a load of s**t it is!!! (In my humble opinion)
Its slow and very blurry.
To help remedy this you MUST go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab and scroll down to Multimedia. Make sure Always use clear type for HTML is un-ticked and click apply.

This should improve your viewing experience on this site and many others.
This IE feature is just a trick to supposedly make pages load faster.. but at the expence of quality.
Better still download Mozilla Firefox. A much faster and clearer browser in my opinion
