'The Gaffer'

Anybody fancy a weekend night or two camping in Wales on the Gower coast?.

Speedy J and I have been there before just to relax and take in the scenery. We stay at a camp site in Port Eynon right next to the beach.

Its great to have a few beers on an evening with the sound of the surf.

Maybe a good opportunity to get to know each other better too.

Anyone interested?

Richard

Nice place but not the biggest fan of camping these days, gone too soft.

Have you thought of any dates??  How far is it?  My old Cobra is a bit thirsty.  Plus if my wife is to come there needs to be spotless toilets and showers, and I mean spotless, she has this phobia about camp site loos.  We even took our own loo when we camped at Pilton.

Believe me Mark, we are pretty fussy. Obviously your not gonna get 5* facilities, but times have moved on and the site owners know they have to keep things pretty tidy or people just wont come back.

I would have taken my own to Pilton too :)

I will post a few more details later tonight.

And Rich... put yer slippers away and come and have some fun!!! ;)

Mark, closest big city is Swansea.

We are not looking to go for a while yet, at last until the kids are back at school.

A route from Shepton Mallet click this link

I will put up another post closer to the time but just gauging interest right now.

Speedy and I will definately be going. Its a great place to recharge the batteries. (Not kit car ones) ;D

Best Ice cream in shop on front in Mumbles, if you are going it is on sea side of road and you should stop and sample !

Sticking to slippers for now  ;D
