I've been trying to interpret the club shield, in heraldry it is an argent bend sinister on an azure field.  Argent is white or silver and signifies the moon, bend sinister is a diagonal running from right to left rather the more usual left to right, this signifies illegitimacy.  The azure field signifies loyalty, truth and strength.
As the moon is associated with lunacy I interpret this as meaning we are a bunch of crazy b******s but at least we are honest and loyal! : ???
Of course I am probaly completely wrong, according to my wife I usually am. ::)
