Never really thought about how this affects material but then I guess this has the effect of being none reflective because of the angle of fibre so on a dash would really nearly eliminate reflection of sunlight. May be a little explanation of what "flocking" benefits are might help (assume it isn't a farming term).

Thats the first time i've heard of flocking.....when I read the initial post I thought it said that we are now FLOGGING interior parts etc...        (Should have gone to Specsavers!!!)
